Filling the mental health education gap

Driven by a lack of comprehensive mental health literacy being taught in high schools and universities, Resolvve aims to fill the gap by providing mental health education and rapid access to integrated therapeutic services.

Helping students navigate school and life

We believe that an integrative approach to mental health can avert a crisis in young people. Through teaching positive life-skills we can help students become more resilient and ultimately thrive personally, socially, and academically.

Building a community of resilient students

The cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal development of students is our priority. Resolvve is building mental health tech that will better connect students to themselves, and to their peers.

My Resolvve:

Driven by curiosity about the brain, I spent over 6 years studying and researching neuroscience in Canada and in Ireland. I am passionate about improving the quality of mental health and academic support for students.

While working as a student, my peers and I found it difficult to access resources for mental health: limited hours of availability, long waiting times, a profound lack of overall resources, and a general dissatisfaction from students. During the coronavirus lockdown, student mental health issues were exacerbated, and the lack of resources was even more acutely felt. I want to make sure students no longer experience these obstacles to accessing mental health resources and therapeutic services, and that they have access to the therapy and training they need for success.

My Resolvve:

As a Registered Psychotherapist, I am driven to help students improve their overall quality of life, increasing their sense of meaning, and commitment to acting in accordance with their values.

While working as a graduate student in the Psychology Clinic at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), I saw first hand the impact that mental health had on academic performance, and how therapy and coaching could work together. I believe students need therapists who understand them and are sensitive to the difficulties that academic stress can have on mental health. Student stress and anxiety can be exacerbated by challenges in focusing, managing time, having discipline, and regulating emotion. My hope is to help students learn how to build healthy psychological, emotional, and behavioral patterns with themselves and with others.
